Newcomers' Day Celebration (A Celebration of New Beginnings)

KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi celebrated Newcomers’ Day with enthusiasm on 02.12.2023 at KLE CET Auditorium, Chikodi featuring distinguished guest Dr. Kirankumar Mutnali, Principal, KLES Ayurveda Medical College, Chikodi and as President, Dr. Prasad B Rampure, Principal, KLE College of Engineering and Technology, Chikodi and Life Member of KLE Society, Belagavi, graced the occasion.

The program commenced by watering the plant, symbolizing the academic journey that the new students were embarking upon. Dr. Sunil M.B., Principal, KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi welcomed the Guests, freshers and delivered speech on significance of Newcomers’ Day.

Guests given Motivational words served as inspiration for the budding nurses, instilling a sense of purpose and dedication. The program was Continued with cultural performances, including dance, music, and drama. These cultural performances not only entertained the audience but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the students.

World AIDS Day-2023

World AIDS Day is observed annually on December 1st to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, it is a day dedicated to increasing awareness, fighting stigma and promoting preventive measures and access to treatment Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi observed World AIDS Day 2023 with events to highlight the significance of AIDS awareness. The theme for World AIDS Day 2023 is “Let Communities Lead”.

Students were participated in AIDS awareness rally from Taluk health office to public hospital, Chikodi was organized by Health and family welfare department, Taluk Legal Services Committee, Lawyer’s Association, Taluk administration, Municipality, Public Hospital, Department of Police, Chikodi. Students of KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi actively participated in the awareness rally by worn the rid ribbons to show solidarity and raise awareness.

World Diabetes Day -2023

World Diabetes Day, observed annually on November 14th, is a global campaign that aims to raise awareness about diabetes, its prevention, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi celebrated World Diabetes Day 2023 with events to highlight the significance of diabetes awareness and education. The theme for World Diabetes Day 23 is “Access to Diabetes Care”.

B.Sc Nursing Students of KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi conducted Diabetes risk assessment to predict an individual’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes within the next ten years at selected locations of Chikodi City, Conducted the Awareness Campaign and   created the Blue Circle that support the world Diabetes Day and raise awareness of the need for more diabetes education in a number of ways. All faculties and students took photo with the diabetes blue circle.

108th Foundation Day of KLE Society’s

KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi celebrated 108th Foundation Day of KLE Society’s on 13-11-2023 with great enthusiasm and pride.

Welcome and Orientation

The Welcome and Orientation Program for 1st Year B.Sc Nursing Students held at institution was a crucial initiative aimed at introducing new students to both the college and the nursing program. The program familiarized new students with the college’s facilities, resources, and support services.

The program was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries and prayer song. The invited guests, Dr. Dhiraj Shivram Pol., Chief Medical Officer, KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Chikodi motivated the students by addressing the importance of Nurses in the hospital and in the health care sector. Mr.Chandrashekar Kumbar, Nursing incharge, KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, congratulated students for joining the course and addressed the students regarding the different roles of nursing officers in various sectors. Dr. Sunil M B, Principal, introduced students to the KLE Society and the Institution.

Mr. Malakari B G., Senior Tutor, introduced BSc Nursing curriculum and course structure. Guided tour of the campus, including classrooms, libraries, labs, and recreational areas was carried out by faculties Mr. Sachin LS., Ms. Nidhi., and Ms. Sakshi. The Program successfully achieved its objectives, making the transition to a new college and course more comfortable for the incoming students.

Observation Visit

Teaching Faculty and 2nd Semester B.Sc Nursing Students of KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi visited KLE Advanced Simulation Centre & Clinical Skills Lab, Belagavi on 18.10.2023 as part of their program. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, medical equipment, and expert instructors from KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, offering students a unique opportunity to practice and refine their nursing skills.

The Nursing Skill Lab is well-maintained and fully equipped with the latest medical instruments and devices. Students had access to a variety of manikins, IV pumps, and other essential tools to simulate real clinical scenarios. The lab instructors were highly knowledgeable and provided clear guidance to the students. They demonstrated great expertise in the various nursing procedures, ensuring that the students received the best learning experience. The students actively engaged in practical exercises.

The observational visit to the Nursing Skill Lab was a valuable educational experience for our students. It provided a practical dimension to their nursing education and helped them build confidence in their abilities. We intend to maintain and expand upon this practice to enhance the overall quality of our nursing program.

World Mental Health Day

KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences and KLE Ayurveda Medical College, Chikodi jointly explored World Mental Health Day- 2023 theme i.e ‘Mental health is a universal human right” on 10.10.2023. This theme acknowledges the significance of improving knowledge, raising awareness and driving actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health as a universal human right.

World Mental Health Day would not be possible without the valuable contributions of experts and individuals dedicated to mental health advocacy.

Ms. Vidya Hegde, A renowned Counselor, Vidya Poshak, Dharwad, delivered a talk on Mental Health, Stigma, Discrimination and Human rights. Mr. Rakesh N S, M.Phil, Psychiatric Social Work Scholar, DIMHANS, Dharwad delivered a talk on Mental Health issues and management plans.

Prof. Darshankumar D. Billur., Principal, KLES C.B Kore Polytechnic, Chikodi, President of the event delivered an impactful address, underscoring the Nurses and Ayurveda Practioners commitment to mental health awareness and well-being.

Dr. Kirankumar Mutnali, Principal, KLE Ayurveda Medical College, brought a unique perspective to the World Mental Health Day event by emphasizing the holistic nature of mental well-being. His insights drew from the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, an ancient Indian system of medicine that focuses on the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.

Ms. Ratna Hippargi, Admin and HR, and Mr. Shree Shail, Volunteer and Board Member, Vidya Poshak, Dharwad were present during the event.

“In a notable display of commitment to mental health awareness and holistic well-being, students and faculty from the KLES’ Institute of Nursing Sciences and KLE Ayurveda Medical College, Chikodi actively participated in the World Mental Health Day program.” The event was concluded with gratitude to the dignitaries and participants by Dr. Sunil M.B., Principal, KLES’ Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi.

National Nutritional Week

KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi celebrated National Nutrition Week (1st Sept-7th Sept 2023) by focusing on specific events including e-Learning through ICMR-NIN modules, No Heat-No Flame-No Smoke creative recipes, See and Feel the Food Drive, and the Chalk Talk on Healthy Diet-Affordable for all. The activities were emphasized on key messages related to nutrition and health.

National Nutrition Week was a comprehensive initiative that addressed various aspects of nutrition education and awareness. Activities conducted during the week, provided innovative approaches to promoting good nutrition practices.

Teachers Day Celebration

The teachers day celebration was held on 05.09.23 and was marked by enthusiasm, gratitude, and memorable moments. The celebration commenced with an inauguration. The event was graced by the presence of the college principal and distinguished faculty members.

Students organized various fun games for faculties and also delivered heartfelt speeches expressing their gratitude and admiration for their teachers. Principal delivered speech and addressed the impact of teachers have had on the students’ academic and personal growth. Teachers’ Day celebration at KLES’ INS Chikodi was heartwarming event that brought the entire college together. It was a day filled with gratitude, respect, and appreciation for teachers.

International Nurses Day

International Nurses day was celebrated on 12th May 2023 to mark the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale. The function was inaugurated by the President – Dr. Prasad Rampure, Principal, KLE’S institute of technology and  chief guest Dr. Vittal Shinde, Taluk Health Officer, Chikodi, The guest of honor Mr. Chanadrgi Nursing officer, Chikodi were present in the event. Dignitaries addressed about the theme of the day and importance, role of nurses around the world.

Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking Ceremony

KLES’ institute of nursing sciences, Chikodi conducted lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony for the first year B.sc nursing on 25/04/2023 at KLE engineering college auditorium, Chikodi. Prof. Siddeshwar Angadi, Principal, KLES institute of nursing sciences, Chikodi, highlighted the significance of the ceremony to nursing students and welcomed the dignitaries and gathering followed by lighting up the inaugural lamp lit by the dignitaries.

All the dignitaries paid the floral tribute to Florence nightingale. The guests Dr. Arihant, Dr. Prasad rampure, Dr. Sanjay M Pirapur, Dr. Dhiraj Pol. Dr. Arihant has given talk on importance of nursing profession in upcoming days and also the importance and responsibilities of nurses. Followed by Dr. Sanjay M Pirapur, Principal, KLES institute of nursing sciences, Hubbali addressed the students about profession, Compassion, commitment and challenges in their career. He congratulated all the students for making right choice of profession.

The guest of honor Dr. Arihant facilitated with a token of love. Mr. Sachin L S Nursing tutor proposed oath of thanks. The programme is ended with the national anthem.

World Health Day

The students of KLE society’s institute of nursing sciences, Chikodi celebrated the World Health Day held on 07/04/2023 and made street play on the of  IMPORATNACE OF HAND WASH performed at KSRTC Bus Stand Chikodi.  Through this event more than 200 people were benefited.

International Women’s Day

As a part of International Women’s Day, KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi organized an Awareness Talk on: Menstrual Hygiene for Girl students of Govt Primary Kannada Medium School, Khadaklat, Chikodi. The program was held on 08/03/2023. Dr.Aravind Minache, Consulting OBG specialist from KLE Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Chikodi given informative talk to the young students of Class 6 to 8. A total of 180+ students benefited from this activity.

Fresher’s Day and SNA Opening Ceremony

The fresher’s Day for 1st Year B.Sc Nursing students was organized on 23.12.2023. On the same day Student Nurses Association was also inaugurated. The students of first year B.Sc nursing were welcomed with rose.  The program was filled with various fun and cultural activities. Finally the program concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Nidhi Savant, Tutor.

Eye Camp

An eye camp was held at government school, Kerur on 11/02/2023. The objective of the camp was to spread awareness on eye disorder, their early detection and detect refractive error and eye alignments among community people.

A team of eye specialist from KLE Ayurveda medical college, Chikodi rendered eye health services. The camp was advantageous for community peoples as they got an opportunity to know more about various aspects of eye care. The doctors brought well equipped eye examination tools to examine the community peoples effectively they also spoke to the people about eye heath care services. The community people also asked the questions they had in their in mind which were solved by eye specialist. The camp turned out to be very beneficial for 200+ people.

Republic Day

The republic day is celebrated with pomp and show, zeal and spirit, throughout the length and breadth of the country. The day was also celebrated at KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi with great joy. Students participated by singing a patriotic song, speaking about the importance of the day. The program was concluded by distributing sweets to all the students.

National Youth Day

In commemoration of National Youth Day, KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi has organized program on 12th Jan 2023. The program was presided over by Principal Prof. Siddeshwar Angadi as the President, Chief Guest was Rajayogini Brahmakumari Shanta and Guest was Brahmakumari Shital, who motivated the young minds on this auspicious occasion with their pearls of wisdom. The program was attended by 10 Teachers and 40 Students.

Kannada Rajyotsava

KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi celebrated 67th Karnataka Rajyotsava with great joy and vigor on 1st November 2022. The celebration started with flag hosting by dignitaries and chief guest, then followed by invocation song by the students.

Prof. Sideshwar Angadi, Principal, KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi. Gave a insightful talk which explained the rich heritage of proud state Karnataka. The program was concluded with vote of thanks.

Orientation & Welcome

KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi organized an orientation and welcome program for the newly admitted 1st year B.Sc Nursing students. The program was presided by Mr. Siddeshwar Angadi, Principal, KLES Institute of Nursing, Chikodi, Chief Guest Dr. Prasad Rampure, Principal, KLE College of Engineering, Invitees, Dr. Kiran Mutnali, Principal, KLES Ayurveda Medical College, Dr. Dheeraj Pol, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Chikodi and Mr. Chandrakant Kumbar, Nursing Superintendent Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Chikodi.

Mr. Siddeshwar Angadi, Principal, KLES Institute of Nursing, Chikodi welcomed guests, students and parents for the program and gave an orientation about the academic aspects of the course. Then students were addressed by the first year coordinator Mr.Sachin Patil, who welcomed the students and gave them an introduction regarding discipline, rules and regulations of the institution.

All the dignitaries extended heartfelt congratulations to students for choosing noble profession and the premier institution for pursing Nursing.
