ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2025

The Annual Sports Meet 2025 at KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi, was a vibrant celebration of athleticism, enthusiasm, and team spirit. The event, held on February 21st and 22nd, witnessed remarkable participation from students across various semesters.

The festivities began on an inspiring note with an invocation song by Ms. Bhagyashri Tungal, a 3rd Semester BSc Nursing student, setting the perfect tone for the event.

The program was gracefully hosted by Ms. Akashata Patil and Ms. Vidya Vagge from the 5th Semester BSc Nursing. Honoring the occasion with their esteemed presence were Mr. Ashutosh Karade, an international sports player, and Mr. Suhel Ahmed Sahebwale, Physical Director of KLE School, Chikodi. Their participation added prestige to the event, inspiring young athletes to embrace sportsmanship and fitness.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Ankita Mirje, a 5th Semester BSc Nursing student, who extended warm greetings to the Principal, distinguished guests, faculty, and students.

Delivering an insightful speech, Chief Guest Mr. Ashutosh Karade shared his experiences and emphasized the importance of physical exercise in maintaining good health, motivating the students to integrate sports into their daily lives.

The sports meet saw students from the 1st, 3rd, and 5th semesters competing in a variety of events, displaying exceptional skill and determination. Track and field events, team sports like kabaddi, throwball, and volleyball, as well as individual games like chess and badminton, highlighted the students’ versatility and competitive spirit.

Adding to the excitement, field events such as high jump, long jump, shot put, and javelin throw kept spectators captivated, while relay races and sprints showcased the participants’ speed and agility. The Annual Sports Meet 2025 was not just a celebration of physical fitness but also a testament to discipline, perseverance, and teamwork instilled through sports.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Jyoti. Bidrolikar, a 5th Semester BSc Nursing student, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, guests, faculty, students, and the dedicated sports coaches.

LAMP LIGHTING AND OATH TAKING CEREMONY-2025

On February 15, 2025, the KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences in Chikodi hosted the Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony for the 3rd batch of B.Sc. Nursing students. Dr. Sunil M.B., Principal of the Institute, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and attendees, greeting the budding nurses as they stepped into the nursing profession. He highlighted the importance of taking the oath, drawing inspiration from Florence Nightingale’s quote that defines nursing as both an art and a skill..

The Chief Guest, Mr. Madivalappa Nagarahalli, Secretary of the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board, Bengaluru spoke about KLE Society contribution to the Karnataka especially in educational services. He highlighted oath taking importance in nursing profession and to update day by day in nursing profession in digitalization. The Guest of Honor, Dr. Somashekarayya. V. Kalmath, former Senate member of RGUHS Bengaluru and Professor at KLE’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Hubballi, shared valuable insights on the noble virtues of the nursing profession. He guided the budding nurses on the importance of need-based learning and the profound impact of positive thinking in life. He also spoke about the significance of good things happening in life and the role of effective communication skills in both learning and patient care. As the ceremony concluded, Mr. Mounesh Badiger, Assistant Professor, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in making the event a success.

WORLD CANCER DAY 2025

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi, promoted cancer literacy among people in Kerur village, Chikodi Taluk on 05-02-2025. Under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh B.K., Medical Officer, and Dr. Sunil M.B., Principal of the institute, along with the ASHA workers of Kerur, the initiative aimed to promote cancer literacy among the local community. 

The 5th-semester, 3rd-year BSc Nursing students visited households in the village to educate residents about the prevention of oral, cervical, and breast cancer. With the help of Using Our flashcards, pamphlets, and digital posters They provided information on the signs and symptoms of these cancers, the harmful effects of tobacco consumption, and effective measures to control cancer.

RALLY ON TUBERCULOSIS PREVENTION AND THE NI-KSHAY POSHAN 2025

A Rally on Tuberculosis Prevention and the NI-KSHAY POSHAN was Organised on January 30, 2025 , by KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Chikodi in association with KLES Ayurvedic Medical College Chikodi and Belagavi District Health and Family Welfare Department Government of Karnataka.

THE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 2025

“The New Year 2025” was celebrated on 04-01-2025 with great enthusiasm at KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi, through an event organized by the SNA President, Advisor, and the SNA Committee of the institution. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Principal, Dr. Sunil M. B., along with the teaching and non-teaching faculty and students.

The event began with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, bringing smiles to everyone present. Dr. Sunil M. B. took the stage to deliver a motivational speech, inspiring students to focus on good health and positive behaviour in the new year. He stressed the importance of setting meaningful resolutions that foster personal growth and encouraged students to embrace new challenges in 2025.

Adding an element of surprise, students organized a “Lucky Teacher” and “Lucky Student of the Year” draw, randomly selecting winners from a set of chits. Mr. Malakari G, Senior Tutor, was declared the Lucky Teacher, while Mr. Sudeep Jadhav, a 5th-semester BSc Nursing student, won the title of Lucky Student. Mr. Shanwaz Pathan, a 5th-semester BSc Nursing student, who voluntarily shared his own New Year resolutions and goals, inspiring his peers.

The event reached a new level of excitement with fun-filled games organized by the students, engaging both teachers and students in thrilling activities. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air, making the occasion a memorable and joyful way to kick off the New Year for everyone involved.
